How to Promote Gaming Club Poker

is one of several "skins" or portals into the Prima Poker Network. The Prima Poker skins include , , , , and .

If you've read one of the other "How to Promote" articles on these rooms, then this one will be similar since they are all basically the same.

The Gaming Club Poker affiliate program is run through .

So these are what I think are the highlights of the Gaming Club Poker Room:

Decent Action

is probably the most popular of these Prima Poker sites. Because there are so many portals into the Prima Poker Network, there is decent action and a pretty good player base. You can expect around 5,000 active players at any particular time. Pretty easy to find a spot at the table stakes you are looking for.

Great Bonus!

offers up to $300 in incremental bonuses, and all you have to do is deposit a minimum of $20. This is a 1500% bonus!

However, there is some fine print to earning that $300 bonus. You must earn 300 Bonus Redemption Points (BRP's) for every $20 bonus. These BRP's are calculated differently depending on the stakes that you play. At the .25-.50 limit game, each raked hand only counts as 1 BRP. According to the Gaming Club website:

Please Note: Hands raked on any $0.05/$0.10 and $0.10/$0.20 table and any play on Single or Multi-Table tournaments will not count towards BRPs. Once you have earned the maximum number of BRPs at a particular Bet Limit you can of course continue to play at that Bet Limit but your play will not accumulate any more BRPs for the purposes of this promotion.

I believe the requirements to earn the $300 bonus has changed several times. This is the latest definition (as of January, 2005), but it may change again. Visit to read more of their bonus details.

Anyway, the fact remains that Gaming Club is willing to give away up to $300 in bonus money to your visitors. This, alone, should generate some interest for you.

Micro-Limits

Gaming Club poker offers micro-limit tables, hosting no limit tables as low as $.05-.10 blinds, limit tables as low as $.05-.10, and Sit & Go tourneys for as low as $.75 + .25.

This is a nice way to introduce newer players into the real money game. We all know you become a better player with experience, and the play money game will not help much here. These micro-limits are a great way for the beginner to get his feet wet, without the intimidation or risk of losing much of a bankroll.

Great FreeRolls!

The Prima Poker skins are well known for hosting several nice freeroll tournaments for their players. has $200 and $1000 freeroll tournaments daily!

Daily High Hand Bonus!

The Gaming Club Poker Room also offers a $250 daily high hand bonus, here are the rules:
4 of a Kind, Kings or better.
Both hole cards must be used.
3 or more people must have received cards.
Hand must go to the showdown.
Real money tables only.
Standard non-tournament tables only.
Hold'em games only.
Ties share prizes as applicable.
Every night at midnight GMT the winner(s) will be paid and the jackpot will reset.

Interface: 3/5 Action: 3/5 Support: 3/5 Fish: 3/5 Bonus: 3/5

i recently downloaded gaming club to play the womens leauge. they give you 10 free sign up . they clearly state you cant cash out the sign up . thats fine, but when you make your own deposit , after you spend the free 10, they try to pull the 70 raked hands on you, when you want to cash out money that had nothing to do with the sign up. my sister cashed out a deposit she made simply because this site caused major problems on our computers. they said her withdrawl must have slipped through the cracks. what i couldnt make them understand was that , i wasnt trying to cash out their 10 , but the money i had left from a 100.00 deposit i had made later. they finally said they would refund it, but i my account would be locked out, it took seconds to take it from netteller , but an eternity to get it back, a week to be exact. any help out there would be appreciated.

Not bad, but pretty weak overall, I prefer Empire Poker, especially since now they've raised the max buy-in's at the $.25-.50 blind games. Gaming Club has a mediocre interface, decent action but not like Empire, mix of weak and decent players, and a good dollar amount bonus, but pretty tough to earn.

With $160 remaining in Bonus cash the gaming club stoped paying bonus money. After several attempts at contacting there so-called 24/7 support via email with no responce my gaming club account was blocked with my money still inside. I still have not received my balance back from them and my accout has not been reactivated. STAY AWAY FROM THE GAMING CLUB THEY WILL STEEL YOUR MONEY. Docsully

My $300.00 bonus for $20 deposit.
by Semperfi @ 12, Jan 2005

Interface: 4/5 Action: 4/5 Support: 4/5 Fish: 3/5 Bonus: 5/5

A few weeks ago The Gaming Club changed their definition of a raked hand, making their "up to $300 deposit" much more attractive. If you make a deposit of at least $20, then $20 of bonus is released for every 100 hands you were dealt cards in, that were raked at least 25 cents. You have 30 days to earn the bonus. I decided to try to earn the $300 with a minimum $20 deposit. It turns out my biggest obstacle was boredom. 1500 raked hands at .50/1.00 Limit Hold Em, is quite a grind. In my first session I had a bad run of cards, and quit down $12.00. Things did not look good for my experiment as my "bankroll" at TGC was down to $8.00. I switched to .25/.50 cent limit to avoid busting out, but now only very large pots were raked enough to get credit. As soon as I cleared the first bonus, I moved back up to .50/1.00. When I had $80.00, I started playing 2 tables at a time. At $120.00 went to three tables, and 4 tables at $160.00. I usually sit down with 40 big bets at limit. Then things began going much faster of course. Last night, up against my 30 day deadline, I quit procrastinating and played a marathon session to finish the bonus off. Here are my totals. Total Time: 27 Hrs. Total Bonus: $300.00 Total Bonus/ Hr.: $11.11 Total Game winnings: 138.74 Win Rate/ Hr: $5.10 Grand Total Return/ Hr.: $16.21 BB/ Hr. (per table: 2.5) 4 Table rates: Bonus earned while playing 4 tables: $240.00 Hrs. Spent playing 4 tables: 8 Bonus earn rate at 4 tables: $30.00/hr. Game earn rate at 4 tables: $8.00/hr. (I avg 2.00 BB/hr/Table on 4 tables) Total earn rate: $38.00/hr. If you want to get this bonus, and play Limit. I recommend depositing enough to play whatever your max number of tables is. I could have worked this bonus off in 12 hrs. that way. Of course the $30/hr in bonus more than made up for the 1/2 BB/hr I was giving up on each table, by playing so many.

The Gaming Club Poker Room Review
by Eric @ 25, Nov 2004

Interface: 3/5 Action: 3/5 Support: 4/5 Fish: 3/5 Bonus: 3/5

The Interface for the Gaming Club is kind of colorful. One of the drawbacks with the interface is the fact that there are no avatars. Another problem is that the connection to the tables is somewhat slow. It is not uncommon to click on a table that is listed as 8/10 or 9/10 only to find it full when you finally get through. At the time of this writing the action was medium. There were more players than at PacificPoker or Absolute Poker but many less players than at PartyPoker/EmpirePoker. The technical support is listed as 24/7. I never had to use it. The ease of game is kind of hard to measure. I didn't think the players were all that good but I was not able to capitalize on it. The bonus is for .25/.50 tables and up only. Tournament does not count towards the bonus. The bonus is paid out somewhat slowly. Overall I rate this room as average in just about every major category.
