Develop Your Poker Concept or Idea

So, from the previous articles, you can probably see how online poker room affiliate programs can be quite lucrative. However, there are plenty of other ways to make money through your poker website without relying on, or in addition to, online poker. One of my partners made over $3,500 in the month of December, 2004, selling poker chips through his affiliate links!

Again, the key is to build on your poker concept and to become the AUTHORITY WEBSITE on that particular idea or concept. Then, we use your highly insightful and original content to build traffic through organic searches from the search engines. And finally, we leverage that traffic into dollars. There are enough poker-related affiliate programs out there to find what I call the "money angle". Build the content, build the traffic, and then find the money angle.

To build the content, you need your poker idea or concept to focus on. And to help develop your poker concept, you will need to perform a lot of research. Dive into the online poker rooms, research Google and poker search terms, research other poker websites that already exist. Can you improve on them? Can you rank higher with Google than them? Scour poker forums, what are the visitors looking for?

This tool from Overture will tell you how many times a particular keyword or keyphrase has been searched in Overture's search engine. Unfortunately, it's really Google traffic that we should be concerned about since Google is, by far, the most widely used search engine. Nevertheless, this tool from Overture can still provide us insights into the popularity of certain poker concepts.
