PokerChamps Affiliate Review
The
Affiliate program is completely revolutionary. This is going to be hard to explain, because it gets a little complicated. But basically, the PokerChamps affiliate program is completely integrated into the PokerChamps system. And the PokerChamps system is a rakeback system. PokerChamps offers an automatic rakeback of your own rake, depending on how many points you accumulate (how much of the rake you contribute). Each cent you contribute to the rake is equal to 1 point. But not only does PokerChamps reimburse a percentage of your rake (5%-50% depending on how many points you play each week) back to you, it also reimburses a percentage of the rake that any sub-affiliates generate, and a percentage of those sub-affiliate's sub-affiliates!
The amount of points is summed up each week, and depending on the number of points you've accumulated in that week (which includes the points from your 1st tier and 2nd tier sub-affiliates), your percentage of rakeback is determined, between 5% - 50%.
I've taken the explanation from the PokerChamps website to help clarify this rakeback system, known as the "Cash Flow Bonus System".
Introduction (from the PokerChamps website)
The CashFlow Bonus Program:
If you play an average of 2-3 hours a day on a US $5/10 table your direct payout from PokerChamps will be approx. US $100 in one week!
This beats any sign-up or deposit bonus or frequent player program anywhere on the net. And the best thing is that it continues week after week and never stops because a sign-up bonus was reached.
Whereas regular sign-up bonuses are dependent on your initial deposit and a large number of raked hands before you ever see any of the cash - the CashFlow Bonus Program simply pays you back instantly. Finally a bonus program without all the conditions!
The CashFlow Bonus Program is your way of making a profit from being a player at
. You simply collect points by playing - the more you play, the more points you get. The big difference from this program and other frequent player programs is that your player points are automatically converted to cash and transferred to your account on a weekly basis - we call it the Friday Payout.
In addition to this, your points can also be used for tournament buy-in and even to buy various PokerChamps merchandise.
The CashFlow Bonus Program is divided into a number of levels, which determine how much cash you receive in return from your points. Your level depends on the number of bonus points you earn during one week of play. You earn points from your own play as well as points from other players you have signed up - yes, that's right, you can also refer other players and earn money from their play.
Check out our fantastic Integrated Affiliate program below. Bonus points will earn you a number of great benefits on PokerChamps, but first and foremost it will earn you actual money.
How do I earn money with bonus points:
All poker sites make money by taking a rake from each hand played. PokerChamps is no different from this - but instead of just keeping it for ourselves we share it with you.
But first let us look at the levels of the CashFlow Bonus Program.
You start out at bonus level 1 and as you earn points during the week you automatically advance to a higher bonus level receiving an increasingly better deal as you go along.
Each Friday your points are converted to cash and deposited into your account. Your bonus point status is then reset to zero and your level is again set to 1. The level you have reached by Friday, at 6 AM (EST) / 11AM (GMT), determines the rate at which your points are converted into cash. Before your weekly points are reset they will be added to your accumulated CashFlow Bonus account, which can be used to purchase different PokerChamps items and as buy-in in special tournaments.
If for example you have reached level 4, which requires 2,500 points, your return in dollars will be calculated as 20% of your total points, meaning that US $5 will be transferred to your account. The CashFlow Bonus Program has 10 levels, each level increasing the return percentage you receive. The bonus level table below shows you the return percentage and the required points required to reach each level.
The table shows you examples of how bonus points are converted into real money.

Calculating Bonus Points:
To make it as fair as possible for all PokerChamps players, we have created a CashFlow Bonus Program that calculates your bonus points based exactly on how much of the rake you contributed to each hand played.
If you play at a table with 10 players and the pot reaches US $60 or more, PokerChamps will collect a total rake of US $3. If no one has folded at this point, your bonus points will be calculated as 1/10 of US $3 = 30 cents = 30 points. The amount we calculate is always based on the exact amount of money you have contributed to the rake when it is taken. Thus if you fold at an earlier stage in the game you will only get points for the amount you have contributed to the pot relative to the pot size when the total rake is taken.
If you for instance play at a table with four players, and you chose to fold after having contributed US $10 and the pot reaches US $60 or more with the rest of the players staying in the game, US $3 will be taken in total rake and your points will be calculated as follows: You contributed US $10 to the US $60 pot, which is equal to 16,6% of the pot (10/60). Your rake contribution is thus calculated as 16,6% of US $3 = 50 cents = 50 points.
Converting bonus points to real money:
The above bonus level table is used to convert your weekly points into real money. Of course this calculation and the payout is done and shown automatically and in real-time, so you can at any time see exactly how many points and how much money awaits you at the end of the week.
You calculate your payout by finding your current level in the table and then taking the corresponding percentage of your bonus points. If your level is 5 your percentage will be 25%. If you have 40,000 points your payout will be 25% of 40,000 that equals US $100 in one week.
As an example, to reach 40,000 points you have to have participated in between 800 and 1300 hands with six to ten players seated and where the rake limit of US $3 is reached in each hand. It takes approximately one minute to finish a hand, so in other words, if you play an average of 2-3 hours a day during a week your direct payout from PokerChamps will be US $100 in one week! This beats any sign-up or deposit bonus or frequent player program anywhere on the net. And the best thing is that it continues week after week and never stops because a sign-up bonus was reached.
But hold on! - there is more:
We have also designed an Integrated Affiliate program that will give you a great opportunity to make hundreds of times more money by getting other people to sign up... Please read on and find out all about the PokerChamps Integrated Affiliate program.
PokerChamps Integrated Affiliate program:
When you sign up as a player at
you automatically enter the PokerChamps CashFlow Bonus Program, which will earn you money from day one. But in addition to this you also automatically become an affiliate with PokerChamps. Being an affiliate with PokerChamps simply means, that if you get any other person to sign up at PokerChamps you will automatically begin to earn money from his play.
- Simple, easy and fair!
All you have to do is to give him your affiliate code, which is given to you when you sign-up. If you have a web site or home page you can use any number of provided banners to automatically get the sign-up under your name. There is no hassle in becoming an affiliate, no forms to complete or anything else. In fact, once you agree to the conditions of being a player at PokerChamps you automatically become an affiliate with us.
We call our affiliate program integrated because it integrates with the CashFlow Bonus Program. This means that everything is calculated in bonus points, both your own play and your affiliates' play. Weekly payouts (conversion of bonus points to real money) take place in accordance with the CashFlow Bonus Program payout. Please see above for an explanation of the CashFlow Bonus Program.
Bonus points are thus collected from the players that sign up under your affiliate code and from those who again sign up below these and so on down the tree. As those you sign up are also free to sign up others, your affiliate tree will soon begin to grow exponentially. You will automatically receive bonus points from all players down your affiliate tree.
Break down of points:
In the affiliate section of the Cashier you will instantly see how much money your affiliates have generated for you over time. This is of course the most important information, but for those who wish to know in detail how the affiliate program is calculated, the following section describes the system. It may seem a little complicated at first but you will soon see the logic in the system.
Points from your immediate affiliates:
As an affiliate you operate with three different types of points, we refer to the points as P1, P2 and P3.
P1 is simply your own bonus points, generated by your own play, alas these are the points the bonus system is referring to - for each cent contributed in rake a point is awarded. Please refer to the CashFlow Bonus Program section for a complete explanation on how points are calculated relative to the rake.
P2-points derive from points of those players in the tree immediately below you. You will receive one P2-point for each P1-point your affiliate players generate minus the points these players cash out according to their bonus level code.
Your player name is Adam and in one week your own play has generated 3,000 bonus points (P1-points) by contributing US $30 in rake. You have signed up two persons under your affiliate code; they are named Bob and Carl.
Bob has generated 4,000 bonus points (his P1-points, from generating US $40 in rake) during this weeks play, and Carl has generated 12,000 points (his P1-points, from generating US $120 in rake). Neither Bob nor Carl has signed up any affiliates under their names, so your affiliate player tree ends here.
Since Bob has earned 4,000 bonus points he has reached level 4 of the CashFlow Bonus Program, which means that he will receive a 20% cash return of his 4,000 P1-points, which equals US $8.
Carl has earned 12,000 P1-points and has reached level 5, which means that he will receive a 25% return of his 12,000 P1-points, which equals US $30.
Now, your P2-points are simply the sum of Bob's and Carl's P1-points minus the points they have received in payout.
Bob: 4,000 - 20% = 3,200 Carl: 12,000 - 25% = 9,000
Your P2-points will be calculated as P2 = 3,200 + 9,000 = 12,200
Your own account (Adam) now looks like this: P1 = 3,000 P2 = 12,200
Total bonus points = 15,200
This amount of points qualifies you for payout level 5. This means your payout this week will be 25% of 15,200, which equals US $38.00.
As you can now see, your own play and your affiliates' play are combined into one single point system used for determining your actual payout percentage.
- Elegant, easy and fair!
Points from your affiliates' affiliates:
We will now go one step further down the affiliate tree to the P3-points. The P3 are the points you receive from the points generated by your affiliates' affiliates or sub-affiliates. Your own direct affiliate players are level one affiliates and their affiliate players become level two affiliates and so forth. There is no limit to the number of affiliate or sub-affiliate levels in your tree. Although the points you receive decrease the further down the tree you go, you still do receive part of the action generated by affiliates far below your original line of affiliates. So the more your own affiliates and sub-affiliates work to sign up new players the more you get in the end.
The P3-points are calculated in the following way: You receive ¼ of a point for each bonus point earned by your affiliates' affiliates. This is the sum of their P2- and P3-points multiplied by ¼. In other words 25% of their points are moved to the next level and so forth.
Using the example from above, let's assume that both Bob and Carl have signed up some friends. Bob has signed Dan and Carl has signed Eric. Dan and Eric generate 5,000 and 6,000 P1-points respectively.
Their bonus is calculated as:
Dan: 5,000 * 25% = US $12.50
Eric: 6,000 * 25% = US $15
Bob who signed up Dan will now receive 3,750 P2-points (5,000 - 1250)
Carl who signed up Eric will now receive 4,500 P2-points (6,000 - 1500)
Bob now has the following points:
P1-points (his own play): 4,000
P2-points (his affiliate Dan's play): 3,750
Total bonus points: 7,750
- Bob's payout is now: 77.50 * 25% = US $19.38
Before signing up Dan he received US $8 from his own play. By signing up more players his total bonus points will increase and he will quickly reach the 25% level and so forth.
For Carl the calculation looks like this:
P1-points (his own play): 12,000
P2-points (his affiliate Eric's play): 4,500
Total bonus points: 16,500
- Carl's payout is now: 165.00 * 25% = US $41.25
For Adam (the first player in the tree) the following calculation will apply:
P1-points (Adam's own play): 3,000
P2-points from Bob 4,000 - 20% = 3,200
P2-points from Carl 12,000 - 25% = 9,000
P3-points from Bob's Dan (5,000 - 25%) * ¼ = 1,000
P3-points from Carl's Eric (6,000 - %25) * ¼ = 1,125
Total bonus points: 17,325
- Adam's payout is now: 173.25 * 25% = US $43.31
Before signing up any friends Adam was making US $6 in weekly bonus. By signing Bob and Carl who again signed up their friends, Adam is now earning US $43.31 a week. So without doing any extra work Adam is instantly receiving an extra 720% in weekly cash payout.
Whew! Was any of that comprehensible? I didn't think so, but basically, you get a piece of your rake back and a piece of everyone else's rake back that you sign up, and piece of their piece. And this is calculated and paid out every week!
may change the way poker rooms operate. At least it's trying something totally new, and time will tell whether it will be successful or not...
Reports & Statistics
offers pretty decent statistics. You may view your current account balance, how much you've earned this week, a list of your players/sub-affiliates, and how much they've earned for you.
Stats Report
Reliability & Timeliness
appears to be very reliable and timely. I have not had any issues with their service so far. I receive a weekly email, reminding me that they will be calculating my rakeback amounts on Friday. Friday is known as "payday" at PokerChamps. Any amounts that I've earned during the week are deposited into my player account, at which point I can withdraw via Neteller, check, or wire transfer. Or I can play with that money at PokerChamps.
Customer & Technical Support
I have not used support yet. PokerChamps does not offer account reps or anything for their affiliate program. Since the affiliate program is integrated into the PokerChamps rakeback system, it's kind of a do-it-yourself program. Once you become a PokerChamps player, you automatically become a PokerChamps affiliate. You can look up your one affliate link/code and use it however you'd like. Being able to self-service your own affiliate needs is quite nice.
Compensation
does not offer a CPA program, everything is built within their CashFlow Bonus System. It's too early for me to tell how profitable this type of affiliate marketing is, but I do see huge potential. If and when PokerChamps becomes a large poker room and traffic picks up, it will be interesting to see the rakeback program in full force. This PokerChamps affiliate/rakeback program is so unique that it's probably worth looking into. Especially if you are interested in playing poker there, since you can get a portion of your own rake back automatically.
